Quick answer: Use the arrival time and exact FBO address in your confirmed trip instructions. Private aviation does not remove identification or border requirements.

Before leaving home.

Plan your first private jet flight with practical guidance on FBO arrival, boarding, baggage, onboard service and arrival arrangements.

01

Before leaving home

Check the final itinerary, operator contact and any updates. Confirm identification, baggage, catering and ground transport. Save the FBO name and address: an airport can have more than one private terminal.

02

At the FBO

Follow the arrival time given for your trip. Staff may coordinate identification checks, baggage and your transfer to the aircraft. Procedures vary by airport, operator and route; ask where to wait and whom to contact if delayed.

03

Boarding and the cabin briefing

Wait for staff or crew instructions before approaching the aircraft. Boarding may involve stairs and a narrow doorway. Listen to the safety briefing, follow the crew’s seating and baggage instructions, and keep restraints fastened when directed.

04

During the flight and after landing

Confirm catering, Wi-Fi and cabin service in advance because equipment and staffing vary. On arrival, follow crew instructions for disembarking and border processing. Reconfirm the pickup location with your driver, especially after an airport change.
