Measure items, not just suitcase count.
Plan private jet baggage using item dimensions, weight and loading access.
Measure items, not just suitcase count
List length, width, height and weight for each bag, including handles and wheels. Note rigid cases and items that cannot be compressed. A baggage-volume figure alone does not show whether an object can pass through the loading door.
Account for the complete payload
Travelers, baggage, equipment and fuel all affect the flight plan. The operator may need to balance loading and range for your route. Ask before booking whether an item changes the aircraft choice or fuel-stop plan.
Flag unusual or essential equipment early
Golf bags, skis, musical instruments, strollers and mobility devices need individual checks. Provide specifications and handling instructions. Batteries and other restricted goods require the operator’s dangerous-goods review.
Confirm where things will be stored
Ask which compartments are available and whether they are accessible in flight. Keep essential items in operator-approved cabin storage. If an aircraft is substituted, reconfirm baggage fit instead of relying on the original acceptance.

A useful baggage list.
Individual aircraft, operators and itineraries vary.
| Item | Information to send | Ask the operator |
|---|---|---|
| Suitcases | Count, external dimensions and weight | Hold and loading-door fit |
| Golf bags / skis | Longest dimension and case type | Permitted orientation and loading |
| Stroller / child seat | Folded dimensions and weight | Cabin use versus baggage storage |
| Mobility device | Dimensions, mass and battery details | Acceptance and handling plan |
| Fragile equipment | Case dimensions and restrictions | Secure storage and access |
