Quick answer: Start once your dates and route are known. There is no universal minimum notice or guaranteed booking window for every charter.

Let the trip’s complexity set the pace.

Plan private jet booking lead times around peak dates, aircraft needs and international requirements.

01

Let the trip’s complexity set the pace

An ordinary domestic request and a multi-country itinerary have different planning needs. Give your team the full route, dates, party size and baggage details early, even if some preferences are still flexible.

02

Start earlier for constrained trips

Peak travel dates, major events, specific cabins, large parties and specialist assistance can narrow available options. International permits, border arrangements and pet documentation can also require additional preparation.

03

Know what is actually secured

An enquiry, quote or provisional hold is not the same as a confirmed booking. Ask how long a proposal is valid, what secures the aircraft and which operational arrangements remain pending.

04

If you need to travel soon

Send a complete brief and stay reachable for decisions. Offer nearby airports or a flexible departure window where possible. The operator still needs to confirm the aircraft, crew, airports and a safe flight plan.

Operator confirmation required. An inquiry is not a booking.
